rhythm is a dancer

a series of five events throughout december and january at the wellcome collection. rhythm is a dancer explored the science of dance with performance and debate. the finale event ‘let’s get physical’ featured viktoria modesta reprising her role as snow queen at the paralympics closing ceremony, plus a demo of the alternative limb project by sophie de oliveira barata. dance highlights included can-can  from leila othieno, ballet from rachel maybank, tango from liz bayley & joe hudson. speakers included scientist sara houston, curator nancy ireson, fashion historian amber jane butchart, lecturer peter lovatt, and professor laurence parsons.
